Announcement of Extraordinary Board Meeting

17th December 2010 at Nailsea Methodist Church in the Worship Hall at 3pm

This meeting will be to receive the Wrington Vale Medical Practice Development Business Case and Assurance Process for decision.

Members of the public wishing to speak at this meeting are asked to contact Lindsey Perryman on 01275 546717.  Please note that due to time restraints, we would appreciate it if groups could nominate a spokesperson to speak on their behalf

Consultation on the future delivery of primary care services for the patients of Wrington Vale Medical Practice is now closed. The Consultation Period ran from 11th November 2009 to 13th March 2010. 13/07/10 - The Next Steps: Wrington Vale Medical Practice Consultation

The report on the Formal Public Consultation on the future delivery of primary care services for the patients of Wrington Vale Medical Practice has now been approved by the Health Overview & Scrutiny Panel (HOSP) and it is expected the detailed business case will be presented by Wrington Vale Medical Practice to the NHS North Somerset Trust Board in September 2010 for a decision on the preferred option.

Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel (HOSP)

In accordance with the powers conferred on local authorities to scrutinise health services within their areas, under the Health and Social Care Act 2001, a new Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel has the following remit:- i) Health matters relating to the NHS. ii) Wider health issues apart from NHS - health promotion, addressing health inequalities, impact of local and national initiatives (drugs and alcohol, hospitals, mental health, primary care etc.) iii) Health issues for both adults and children.
