Community Development Workers
Promoting race equality and supporting well-being in mental health

Introduction

Research has shown that Black and Minority Ethnic people often find it difficult to use health services when they have a mental health problem.

Many people do not believe that Western/British mental health services can offer positive health. To help solve these problems, Community Development Workers have been employed.

We work with the community and anyone involved in creating and providing mental health services in North Somerset.
We hope this will ensure that the services people receive are what they really need.
