PCT Travel Plan
North Somerset PCT is committed to developing a PCT wide travel plan strategy as well as a set of specific travel plans for each PCT base.
The fundamental aim of the travel plan is to promote sustainable travel and reduce reliance on single occupancy car travel.
Our travel plans should aim to help, inform and guide individuals to make sustainable travel choices that are relevant and applicable to them.
Our travel plan may address some or even all of the following:

Staff travel to and from the workplace

Staff travel during the course of the working day

Patient and visitor travel to PCT sites / facilities

Use of fleet vehicles and
-
Deliveries and contractors who service PCT sites.

TRAIN
Trains stations can be found in Weston-super-Mare, Weston Milton, Worle, Yatton and Nailsea and Backwell offer local services to Bristol, Bridgwater and Taunton.

CAR SHARING
North Somerset Council, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol Council and South Gloucestershire Council have all teamed up with Liftshare, the largest implementer of car sharing systems to form www.2carshare.com.
Car sharing is when two or more people share a car and travel together. It allows people to benefit from the convenience of the car, whilst alleviating the associated problems of congestion and pollution.
