Procurement of goods,  supplies and non clinical services is undertaken by the Bristol & Weston Purchasing Consortium,  not directly by the PCT)

All procurement documents will be posted here in a phased manner according to the timetable for each procurement. The NHS supply website www.supply2health.nhs.uk will refer to this site for any NHS North Somerset procurement documentation.

Alcohol Interventions Service:    A tender was invited for an Alcohol Interventions service.   The tender closed on the 10th January,  and the preferred provider is expected to be announced soon.

 Recent Completed Procurements:

Reference: B 5M8/09/001CHC: Domiciliary Continuing Health Care Service.  Contract awarded to Somerset Care at Home.  Contract started 1st December 2009

Reference: B 5M8/09/002 Dental: Lot 1. Pill Branch Surgery, Contract awarded to DA & C Houston & Associates.  Contract started 1st April 2010

Reference: B 5M8/10/003  Community Gynaecology Service: Tender process completed.  NO contract awarded.

Patient Transport Services:  Combined tenders with NHS Bristol and NHS South Gloucestershire,  to provide patient transport services across the whole of the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area.  Two lots were tendered:  General Patient Transport Services,  and Renal Patient Transport Services.

Contracts were awarded as follows,  and will commence from 1st October 2010:

Lot 1: General Patient Transport:   Great Western Ambulance Service.

Lot 2: Renal Patient Transport Services:  Combined Transport Services.
