What is the North Somerset Teenage Pregnancy Partnership?

The North Somerset Teenage Pregnancy Partnership has been set up to reduce the number of teenage conceptions in the area in response to a Government report which highlighted the problems associated with teenage pregnancy.

What are the aims of the North Somerset strategy?

To reduce the number of teenage pregnancies by 50 per cent by 2010. To get more teenage parents into education, training or employment in order to reduce the risk of long term social exclusion.
