The Marina Healthcare Centre in Portishead

The Marina Healthcare Centre, located on Haven View, alongside Portishead Marina, has now opened it doors. The centre is the largest health facility to be built in the North Somerset area for 20 years.

With a capacity for up to 15,000 patients, the practice is able to welcome people who have recently moved to the new marina area alongside existing patients – bringing much needed healthcare facilities closer to home.

The new centre, laid out over three storeys, has been constructed to provide an environmentally friendly working space for 50 members of staff. Its design accommodates the needs of healthcare professionals and patients in the 21st century and includes 12 consulting/examination rooms, two treatment rooms, a practice managers office and ancillary accommodation. It also features 7 consulting/examination rooms and a physiotherapy suite for up to 30 patients.

Facilities Manager, Andrew Martin commented, "The new Marina Healthcare Centre is a magnificent building which will give us the opportunity to maintain the personal, hands-on care we have always provided our patients with the added luxury of space and the most up-to-date facilities available."
