A review of the Clevedon full business case has concluded that the current
proposals for the new Clevedon community hospital are unaffordable given the
economic circumstances.

Clevedon Community Hospital remains on track
The Board has approved the revised Business Case for Clevedon Community
Hospital. This means that the project remains on track with the Business Case
now due to be considered by the Board of NHS South of England at their next
meeting in May.

NHS North Somerset announces that approval has been granted for the Outline Planning application on the existing hospital site which was submitted in December 2010. The proposed development is for 14 residential houses and the two cottages (known as the Seasons) will be marketed as Office Accommodation. The original part of the building donated by the Elton family in the 19th Century will be retained and will accommodate two of the houses proposed in the Outline Planning application.
NHS North Somerset advertises for private sector partner to build the new Clevedon Community Hospital
NHS North Somerset was able to confirm today that an advert has been placed in the Official Journal of the European Union inviting companies to tender for the building and maintenance of the new Clevedon Community Hospital. More information...

New Clevedon hospital given planning consent - 05/03/10
The realisation of a new Clevedon Community Hospital took another step forward yesterday as North Somerset Council’s North Area Planning Committee approved the outline planning application.

Consultation
- July 2010
On 8th July 2010, residents in North Somerset were given the opportunity to view and comment on the proposed designs for the new Hospital when a public exhibition was held Clevedon Baptist Church. The designs remained on display for the following week so that members of the public could view and complete the feedback forms provided.
A Stakeholder Workshop was also held on the same day during the evening at Clevedon Community Centre where the same designs were presented.

A Stakeholder event was held on Monday 11th November 2009 at Clevedon Community Centre where 5 options for the new Hospital site were presented to the stakeholders and representatives of the local community.
